Clubs:
Schools today are all about providing a holistic education that perfectly balances academic and extracurricular activities. It is one of the reasons behind the growing popularity of school clubs. It is more than just a place where children of various age groups spend time with each other, learning and honing their talents. Our school also operates different clubs and extracurricular activities. The various clubs and their information are shown below.
Life Skills Club: Life skills can help mitigate self-doubt in children and replace
it with valid confidence; through this, they will be able to achieve better growth
and development in life. Life skills education can help students own up to their
responsibilities. Builds self-confidence in speaking and in group collaboration.
Clubs conduct various activities like team-building programmes, basic life
skills for primary kids, etc.
Performing Arts: The performing arts encourage children to explore their emotions, expand their imagination, and develop their own unique voice. Each discipline of music, dance, and drama engages a child’s brain, body, and emotions in different ways to encourage their confidence and find joy in self-expression. Here, our children practise different types of dance forms and musical instruments under the guidance of experienced teachers.
Theatre and Literary clubs: The activities involved in literary clubs ensure that students have the opportunity to express their ideas. In this way, students will be able to improve their communication skills. Communication skills are essential for students to thrive in any field of work.
Quiz and Debate club: The club is dedicated to preparing and hosting a gamut of activities, including quizzes covering specific themes such as business, sports, literature, fine arts, entertainment, history and politics. With a motivated team of members and encouraging student response, the Quiz Club promises to cultivate a passion for quizzing among the participants.
Photography Club: The school photography club lets students take home tonnes of memories and tricks to capture these beautiful moments. Photographs and photography play an important role in all our lives. We all have pictures of ourselves, the things we love, beautiful scenery, etc. And photography is something beyond that. It is not just a way to express the beauty of things in the world but also the beauty in the photographer’s mind.
There is a famous saying by Frederick R. Barnard “A picture is worth a thousand words”. There is beauty in every small thing around us, which we often fail to notice and enjoy. It is one way through which people see deeper into the things they like and appreciate them better.
Nature Club: MOTTO: ‘STOP PLUNDERING NATURE, START NURTURING IT’.
The nature club has been introduced to generate awareness among students about current environmental issues. The Nature Club teaches students to love their mother nature and conserve the resources in it. Due to various anthropogenic activities, the environment has suffered irreparable damage. Thus the initiative, SUSTAINABLE SANSKARA was born to take immediate measures to preserve and rescue nature. The environment and the resources in it must be protected at any cost. The protection of the environment is the primary concern of the nature club.
Community outreach club: The community service initiatives in the school are led by the AMARE Community Outreach Club and the students themselves as part of taking action in their inquiry cycles. Community outreach and service activities are an integral part of most of our learning experiences and engagements. The outreach involves leading awareness campaigns, visits to old-age homes, orphanages, deaf & dumb centres, eco-sustainability drives, etc. Our students learn early on the importance of developing the spirit of giving back to society and reaching out to those who are less privileged and marginalized. Community outreach activities and projects develop leadership, resilience, empathy and service-mindedness in our students. To this end, our school regularly associates with NGOs, charities, social workers and causes to provide our students with bigger platforms to make a real difference.
Art and creativity club: “Creativity is contagious; pass it on” - Albert Einstein It helps the child participate and explore the visual and tactile experience. It further helps the child to recognise and communicate unlimited and variant ideas and meanings. Through this club, children get the opportunity to learn new art forms and improve their creative skills.
